The Simpleness of Couponing

It truly is not as hard as it made to seem. When I was younger I remember going to church on Sundays and my godmother would collect everyone’s Sunday coupons. Then around Christmas time when the church would do the shoebox gifts, she would donate so much of her stockpile to the shoeboxes. Any leftovers My sister and me would get as Christmas gifts! Now that I’m older and hate spending more than $5 on shampoo and conditioner I got back into the habit of couponing so my husband and I can help save a little along the way.

How to coupon

The most simple way to coupon is by looking at EVERY ad you see. Walgreens helps show you how to save by telling you there is a manufacture coupon to clip in-app. The same goes along with the apps Target, Dollar General, and Cvs. It may seem time-consuming but you can easily ‘clip-all’ and just look over the ad. By doing this when you look over the mobile ad and click on something you are interested in, say Tresemme Shampoo and Condition on sale 2 bottles for $10 or $6.29 each ($12.58 for two not including tax) You think awesome I’m already saving almost $3…but you see that you clipped a coupon that will get you an additional $5 off any two bottles of Tresemme bringing it down to $5 +tax that you pay…AND you also got $4 Register Rewards to use towards another purchase making it $1 +tax that you paid out of pocket for what would have been $13+ after taxes. That was my plan for transaction 3 when I went to Walgreens but sadly I had to adjust my plan for the week of March 13-19 for coupons because I didn’t see that toothpaste was on sale only online not instore- oops.
