Portable changing pad

Portable changing pads come with so many benefits! One of the most obvious being that your baby wont be on a dirty surface and you wont be worried about having to completely clean a surface in a public restroom of you are running low on wipes.

I recommend the Benicci Portable changing pad because of its waterproof pad, memory foam filled pad along with pockets for diapers and wipes to be held. This is an amazing changing pad for under $15 that’s easy to grab to go into a store if you don’t want to lug around a whole diaper bag just for a change.

Diapers

Pampers Swaddlers are known to be the best diapers for newborns because of the comfort and protection that the baby gets. These are the top rated across the market for diapers. Very few newborns and babies have allergies to these.

Where I live (California) these are the diapers that most hospital nurseries will use on your little one unless they have a allergic reaction to them.

Disposable Diaper Wipes

Pampers disposable wipes are known to be the best wippies for newborns because of the non-perfume, safety for sensitivity, and most of all the protection they have for baby. These are also amazing at not tearing when cleaning during a diaper change. Along with the know bacteria killer you can use one to wipe down a changing station before placing baby upon it.

Plastic Bag's

For $10 you are able to get 144 diaper waste bags that are lavender scented. Why would you need them? mainly for on the go changes that have to happen in a car, or changes that might happen somewhere you don’t feel comfortable throwing away a diaper in plain sight. These also double as a great protection for clothes that might of been soiled on or shirts that have spit-up.

Diaper Rash Ointment

This diaper rash ointment is the bomb.com. So many mothers swear by this ointment because of the relief it provides, and the non irritation that comes with applying it to sensitive skin. What could make this better? Store in a cold (not freezing) place and it will help even more when apply to sensitive baby skin.

Cloth For Burping

Burp Clothes are a amazing thing to have on hand at all times during feeding. Baby’s are very quick to spit up or vomit when being burped not to mention just the drool that a bay had when being bounced around. These Burts Bees burp cloths are quite amazing at being able to catch spit up when burping baby, or just playing with baby when they have drool.

Hand Sanitizer

Hand sanitizer is a great thing to have for just about anything baby. When your about to latch baby to you, make then a bottle, start or end a diaper change, or just in general because baby’s will grab anything and everything in sight. Having hand sanitizer on the go will be your best friend for super quick cleanings and not having to rely on a bathroom to wash your hands. Remember your germs are way bigger than baby can handle so keeping clean surfaces and areas are very ideal with a newborn. Foam sanitizers personally are best because of the allowed control compared to a liquid.

Change of Clothes

Having a change of clothes are beyond necessary. Baby will have diaper blowouts, spit up, and just plain make a mess when eating if not bottle/ chest feeding.

This also goes for mom and dad. The chances of baby keeping you clean when your bouncing them around and playing are very low. Babys have very tiny tummies and spit up often.

Hats

Babies will get sunburns very easy even if its not super sunny out. It’s not recommended that babies wear sunscreen until 6 months of age. With that being known its best to keep your little one covered an safe from sun burns.

Personally i like beanies because they are harder to ‘slip’ off and fully cover baby’s head.

Baby Blanket

Having a baby blanket is always necessary. They make use for just about anything covering up. These are great for throwing over baby when chest feeding, when carrying baby around in car seat, or just to have to help swaddle baby in colder weather.

Clean Bottles

If you are bottle feeding you will always need a clean bottle at each feed. These bottles are super inexpensive, allow for disposable liners, and you can change out the nipple for different flows for your baby. These are also slim that they will easy fit into a diaper bag with no bulkiness.

Formula

If you are bottle feeding you will enjoy not having to carry around a whole can of formula. This dispenser allows for your to put your exact amount of formula in it for on the go feedings! I first saw this with my cousin who would use it at my grandfathers instead of having to take a whole can of formula with her. I thought this was just amazing and of course I bought it once I found out I was pregnant.

Bibs

These are great to have when out and about with a baby that is past bottle feeding. These bibs will catch most of what falls out of baby’s mouth and land in the scoop. Another thing is that will grow with your baby along with being silicone so you can easy clean them or use a wipe to wipe them out for on the go use.

Snacks

Having snacks for baby is a absolute must have. These are amazing for a baby that is teething, or just plain hungry between feedings on the go. These come in different flavors for baby’s with different likings. Along with being low calorie.

Baby Toys

Toys are a must as baby will get bored and want something to hew on or play with. This toy is great at serving both purposes. It also helps when baby is teething because you can freeze it and it will help with their inflamed gums.

Baby Sling/ Carrier

Having a little one that you dont want others to be touching and kissing is hard. Make it easier by using a baby sling or carrier to keep baby close to you. Literally by keeping them tied tight to you preventing baby kidnapping in public. Another great thing is they will have constant skin to skin when in the sling or carrier so whats not to love about that?
