
I’ve been questioning if I’m doing all the right things at the halfway point. I have been more focused on my diet than anything. In the last week iv been trying to take in more protein and fewer carbs. My carb intake is beyond minimal but a healthy intake (wheat & whole grains only). With that, I still keep a high amount of fruit and vegetable intake.
The day before I turn 21 weeks is when ill have my anatomy scan. This is where we will find out any defects that might be going on in the pregnancy. If something seems wrong or needs more looking at then I might have an additional ultrasound. If everything is looking good then this will be my last ultrasound.
The baby has been making their presence more known with a little more strong and easily distinguishable movements. It’s such a weird but amazing thing to feel movements. It becomes more and more real to me that this is happening! I love feeling kicks and turns from my little one. I cant wait till my husband will start feeling them too! He’s a little more squeamish about it but I know hes just in fear of hurting the baby. He feels he won’t give them enough room to stretch as they need to.
IV been craving salty food. But also sweet. I try to make both minimal because salt retains water, and sweets are just not the greatest thing in general. I do give in to my cravings but Im very care to not overindulge.
